Back in 1992, when Larry Bird announced his retirement, Jordan hilariously wished Bird by saying that he was tired of seeing Bird's face.

Two of the greatest NBA players to ever play the game were Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird. Both of them had some memorable battles against each other on the court. Apart from giving their audience matches worth their money, the two even played with each other for the USA team.

Whenever Mike played against Larry, he brought his 'A' game, and did everything he could to beat the Celtics. In the 28 games he played against Boston, Jordan averaged a whopping 33.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists.

Back in 1992, Bird announced his retirement. MJ wished Larry for the same but also stated how he was glad that Larry and his Celtics wouldn't be ruining Jordan's successful games anymore. He hilariously added how Larry could then work on his golf game in his retirement.

"Larry, I hear that you're retiring. Thank goodness. I'm glad. I'm tired of seeing your face. You brought a lot of sad memories for me," Jordan said. I enjoyed it, and I wish you a lot of luck, and I think you had a great and wonderful career. You ruined a lot of my successful games against the Boston Celtics."
